I wonder if you realize just how much slope some of us farm on. Yes a cover will provide better infiltration and hold the soil but what about after you harvest a crop such as soybeans? Even though we sow wheat into most of those acres we seldom get enough growth to prevent erosion if there were no terraces.

Edit to add: I enjoy reading and learning from others opinions here. But I think too many fail to realize the differences in locations across the country.
