NE Iowa | In your 2x2 can you use MAP instead of DAP for your P needs so you get more N close to the seed? Broadcasting your K early in spring is no problem. Broadcasting urea is fine but if you aren't going to work it in it needs to be done right ahead of a rain or should be treated with Agrotain or some equivalent. I don't like spreading urea in early spring because it gives it more of a chance to leach away with wet weather. Personally I would spread it right before planting or maybe after planting before emergence with a floater truck. | |
