Morris, IL | Yeah i was going to say the same, another helpful post from clicker.
What about re owning it on paper? I think everybody wishes they had sold more old crop before that weekend, weather outlook changed over the weekend and been down corn market ever since. I was going sell another 1/4 of beans tuesday morning but so much for that. I'm happy with where i'm at, could be maybe a bit more sold but like you i don't think this will be the end for more then maybe 6 months. If you plan to keep it half the challenge is keeping it over the summer, we always say if it grows in the field it will grow in the bin. No a problem this year. Move it into a new bin, maybe blend with some new crop. I would wait till near harvest time frame before doing anything, i feel keep corn into summer cold is a key, our augers condense when running on day like today, transferring will warm it. | |
