It's less than $3.50 locally. Went up to $4.45+. I can't see this being the high for the next 12 months
If you can get a good basis sell the physical corn put some money in your pocket and avoid a big tax issue in 17 with 2 years of crop incomes. Then turn around and buy the board and trade and re-sell paper when you like the market. That will remove the storage condition worries and double handling costs. (if you can't find a good basis market then what your talk about may be the way to go.) JMO
We've done this a few times ourselves over the past couple of years and has worked out if your willing to move the physical corn when no-one else will.
