NEMO
I dont think that is an EAB symptom. Did you have any commercial fertilizer applied to your yard recently, or any herbicides sprayed on yard or nearby fields? It sounds like chemical damage to me, OD may have caused it. I have seen similar symptoms on oaks in a yard that we finally determined came from a drift of herbicide from a nearby cropfield in early spring that affected emerged leaves, but the new growth came on after and was unaffected. The trees were fine the next year and cant tell anything was wrong now.
