Subject: RE: How much rain can corn take

NE Iowa
Mostly hill ground in my area but a few bottoms. About 3 years ago had neighbor have corn flooded over the ear in early August. Went down quickly and corn looked perfectly fine but owner claimed corn flooded over the ear can't be legally marketed. Insurance paid for 100% loss and the owner sold the field to someone that cut it with a haybine, round baled it, and fed it to cows. Seemed like a waste and almost like insurance fraud to me.
