Elizabethtown,KY | We had some get over the ear twice in August of '79, it didn't hurt the corn but it went off in less than 24 hrs. both times. The dirt left on the fodder sure made it a dusty mess to shell, especially late in the afternoon when the air got heavy, but the grain wasn't hurt. I've never had water over the ear this early before, so I can't tell you what's going to happen, good luck though.
Dad had a brand new 6620 and that was it's first fall harvest. | |
