..I would evaluate the perennial weed problem. A good stiff shot of glyphosate would help a lot on some of the perennials. (Think Quackgrass!) Then I'd plow it when the sod is completely dead. After that it would depend on the rainfall amounts...and how much leveling it needed as to when I'd fit it to plant.
