Central Ga | Sorry if I struck a nerve with the acreage statement. With yours burning up that is probably hard to hear. I know there are a few guys in the northern part of the state that are growing dryland corn and doing well most years. I think it is still a fairly small percentage of the total Ga. crop. There are some other scattered pockets of dryland corn but they are few and far between across most of state. What county are you in? I have a friend who runs cattle and hay in Walker county, in the valley west of Lafayette. Haven't talked to him lately, but he is probably dry too. | |
