We've been rolling for years and I've never seen damage until this year.

Rolling at planting is best if you don't have to worry about erosion.

I left 1 field I was worried might blow. We started rolling it a couple weeks ago and it as killing 40% of the beans. I think it was because the ground was so hard from the pounding rains and the stem wasn't the right stage.

I can't really tell what your picture is showing. Is the good ris not rolled and the bad are?

Our combine operators freak out at me if they have to run on beans that haven't been rolled. Saves a pile on combine repairs.
