Northwest Indiana | Not getting defensive just stating the facts.. I personally have several N plots of my own scattered around. Preplant NH3 vs sidedress both UAN and NH3 on different soils in different areas. Thinking of dropping sidedress all together if preplant hangs in there.. I'll gladly share the results and costs.. Last year was prime example we were pounded with 30" of rain in june and july I think. Best yield was all preplant. Just seems like late season application is the new fad around after vt tools, 20/20 monitors, cover crops and all this other hoopla. Not with you but in general. I am quite sure the grid tile you put in is going to boost your yields more than late season nitrogen.. Full time isn't a cake walk either starting from scratch. Have a good weekend..
