NEMO | How much money do you have in your wallet? Lol. Sorry, couldn't resist. I feel stating yield in 'percentage of yield' is better on the internet. So much variability between areas, soil types, management, etc.
I had about 300 acres of regular wheat treated about the same way as this wheat (fertility, thrown on ground, some lightly worked in, some not). The main difference was the other wheat was behind beans and this experiment was behind corn. The wheat pictured yielded within 5-10% of the regular wheat. Places it seemed just as good as the regular wheat. I would say the wheat knocked down by the tractor caused the 5% reduction. Where just the row unit ran, you couldn't hardly tell it had been planted, that wheat had very little, if any, yield reduction.
This has been a good wheat year in this area. | |
