Because I want the N ready to rock at tassle/grain fill. That's when N is needed IMO. I would have preferred to wait 2 weeks, but rain is in the forcast now and the airplanes were ready to switch over to liquid for fungicide app down south... So we made hay while the sun shined! And it'll be perdy hay by the way things look : )
