...I should get some pictures of some of that kind of interseeding that is going on here. They don't damage the wheat anywhere near that much. They have specialized the drills so they'll fit down 11-12" wheat rows...and they usually leave a track for the tractor tires. They'll harvest about 85-90% of a normal wheat yield and about 60-75% of a full season bean yield. Steve Prochaska of Ohio State Extension has more information and pictures than probably anyone.
