I planted some RR Pioneer Alfalfa in the spring of 15.
Dad was shocked what it was gonna cost. So we did some shopping around, cheapest was Pioneer by over a dollar a pound.
I think I ended up paying $8.80 a pound, would have been cheaper if i ordered it in November.....
No tilled into soybean stubble.
I think we ended up putting down 8#s an acre (shooting for 10#) that's a 1590 for ya.
Wonderful stand! It made about 2 tons an acre the first cutting this spring.
Will be a nice 2nd cutting, but need rain real bad.
