Subject: Round up ready alfalfa

Think I am going to sow some round up ready alfalfa this coming year . It would be for like a 3 cutting bale age for feeding feeder calves. Just wonder what the thoughts are I know it's kinda salty in price but if I buy pioneer I can get a heck of a deal in November on it with all the other corn and beans I buy . Just wonder how good it is for feed and easy to grow. I have some perfect rocky cloddy ground that would make nice for some alfalfa. Heck might even try to dry some out if it would with our humidity her in pa. It usually takes hay here with clover in the mix 3-4 days to bale and your done at 8:00 when the sun goes down and the dew sets your done. So that's where the bale age comes in to play.
