5-way narrow fescue blend


I agree, a fine leaf fescue will be a tougher, more drought and disease resistant grass than Bluegrass. But, it will be soft and very similar in looks to Bluegrass. Im very happy with mine. For areas that you want to keep groomed but no water, consider a Kentucky 31 Fescue. Even tougher but will have a bit wider leaf.

I got all of my grass seed from Miller seed in York NE. Preparation and proper drilling is as much key as any. I had a guy custom drill mine. Then keep moist. Best to level and prepare yard, install sprinklers, then flag sprinklers as to not run over heads with drill and get seeded. The sprinklers will be a life saver getting the stand to come up.
