Nothing wrong with fomesafen early in the season. Basically what Syngenta's Prefix is doing. The only draw back is you won't be able to spray again with fomesafen (reflex/flexstar). Leaves only ultraBlazer/cobra/ and maybe some others I'm not remembering that tend to be less likely to kill emerged waterhemp.
