Had a few radiators rebuilt if done correctly they are as good if not better than buying new. A good radiator repair shop can pop the tanks off, rod out a few cores and honestly tell you if the metal's getting too thin to repair. If so, the radiator repair shop can get new radiators and I'm willing to bet cheaper than at the JD parts counter. The cooling fins being bent is almost a non issue, the radiator repair shop should have a fin comb and straighten the fins like new. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest since you've got the radiator out anyway, check the water pump if it wiggles at all, get it rebuilt at the same time. !!! Lose the water pump bearings and the fan will eat that radiator in a heart beat !! |
