Subject: Grain Moisture testing in Cold temps

Jackson County....... Southwest Minnesota
Hauling corn to the Ethanol plant today first load 15.9 2nd 14.9 3rd 16.9 all out of the same bin they didn't even want me to dump the 16.9 load..... guy in the scale house said it was taking longer to test because the grain was very cold could this be why the moisture levels are off so much seems odd loads from the same bin off that much..... they dock hard on moisture levels that high went into the bin at about 17%-18% ran air for the few weeks after harvest this past fall also not the first loads out of bin hauling before a few week backs and it was about what the first load tested but was hauled not to the same place
