Subject: Planting green: Can you see disc marker track or is GPS required?

NC Indiana
Searched this posting on the planting green topic and looked to see if it is possible (or impossible) to plant 30" row soybeans into green cereal rye using conventional JD notched disc markers. Seems like an accurate GPS guidance would almost be necessary. I would hate to get out there in the tall cereal rye only to find out I could not see where to go. The previous crop would be corn stalks.
