Subject: Dumb plowing question

Western Iowa

I am actually thinking of doing a little fall plowing this year. I am too young to remember what was what when plowing was common, so say if I plow some corn ground under 8-10" deep, how do I handle root worm and bug pressure for the next years corn?

Treat it as corn on corn?

Treat it like it is soybean stubble going to corn?

Thanks!
