A word to the wise - there can be some real serious stand problems planting directly over a spring made mole knife or deeper shank type strip till slot. Especially with nh3 but really any fert and even no fert in some soils and conditions. The Univ of Ill Ag dept issued a warning about this a couple seasons ago. Jim at Dawn
