| You can start with a 3 point bar, use a front tank, and the plumbing of a sprayer. Use orifices on the lines to the knives behind the opener disks.
My variation on that has been to use my home made three point sprayer and mount nozzles on the front of the field cultivator for preplant or mount plow coulters with thin ammonia knives on the planter for planting. My side dress bar wasn't strong enough, but it wasn't steel. But with pressure control from the sprayer pump and regulator, flow control with orifices, and ground speed control with the tractor's tachometer, I get within a % or better of my planned usage.
This picture is of the planter setup.
