It probably came up after your last spraying 3 weeks ago. Had you put down some residual then and not used just round up there'd be less weed pressure now. I tried the no residual thing in rye last year and it bit me in the ass due to weather holding post spraying off a week and a screw up loading the sprayer. I learned my lesson...always use residual on the front side, cheaper then cleaning up a mess on the back side.
