If it is vining up the tree, I cut the vine as low as possible and treat the stump with Tordon RTU. If it is the low growing bush variety I spray it with a 1% mixture of Crossbow. You can make your own Tordon RTU by mixing Grazon P+D with 1/2 water and save quite a bit of money. Patrick
