Paraquat is very fast kill.
The moisture loss continues for months/years after the tillage is done. Blacker soil = more evaporation loss. Plus, you screw up the infiltration.
Here Matt we typically no till around 3,000 acres of beans with a jd air drill and 1590 drill-20 some days ago I no tilled 45 ac of beans behind wheat chopped for silage-I have less then 10% emergence as it forgot to rain except where I disked-we have had 2/10ths so far-if what you say is true-why did the beans grow where I disked and not my no till?
