NE Iowa
I own cows and have had neighbors cattle get in my corn several times. They were never in more than 24 hours so the damage was nowhere near what your pics look like. Just my opinion, but I would just leave the field alone and see what happens. I don't think it is a total loss. It may not make 100 bu/acre but you might be surprised how much it may recover. If they are willing to pay the yield difference between this field in the other field then take them up for the offer. You can't expect them to pay you for 200 bu/acre now and then let you plant another crop. One advantage is that at least it isn't along a busy highway and you have to drive past it every day. Letting it go with also allow you to keep a zero off of your APH.
