A few guys last year had good luck with shredding the pigweeds and marestail then cultivating or spraying. I had some marestail that I didn't kill and they were about 1-2ft tall and the beans were about 5" so I mowed the weeds right at the top of the beans. They never didn't come back, was the cleanest spots in the field plus didn't have any volunteer corn.
