This always sounds good on paper and from the agronomists, but I tried putting crimson clover in the mix for fall grazing and none overwintered. I had the same trouble with rye in the mix with turnips and oats. Perhaps I would have better luck cutting back seeding rates, but the gaps would likely grow a large crop of weeds and their seeds.

I might try splitting the field to try a couple options though.
