ahay68979 - 6/20/2016 18:46 Notill has its place and I still notill our dry land and our irrigated if going corn into beans or beans into corn. But if going to be long term corn on corn, we went back to tillage and don't regret it one bit. Yields stay up. I tried notill irrigated cox for 7 yrs, yields just kept getting worse, went back to tillage on those farms for 5 yrs bow and yields have stayed 35+ BPA better then the notill was. You can do a hell of alot if tillage for those kinda bushels.

You probably had a nutrient deficiency that was getting perpetually worse, or else your planter simply wasn't setup to handle corn-on-corn.  We don't see that sort of yield decline at research farms such as Dakota Lakes, for instance.
