brenmer - 6/20/2016 10:54 I agree on the strip-till being the best of both worlds. Maintains the soil structure of no-till yet has similar soil warmup as full width tillage.

Although not as 'easy' as strip-till, cover crops perform many of the same roles in creating a good seedbed.  Plus, cover crops suppress weeds, while strip-till plants them.

Strip-till sometimes also has the disadvantage of the strip getting too dry when it's time to plant.  At least out here on the Great Plains . . . .
