lots of folks complain about the 496 not leveling .i have a 20 foot 490 and it does level good ,the bearings last almost forever (if greased everyday) and the earth metal discs wear very good .the problem is going to be finding a decent 490 , on mine the axle pivots are worn really bad and the turnbuckles and wing cylender pivots are worn too . but it has been pulled 10-15,000 hours by 4 diffrent tractors .
