Having spent the last 18 years scraping peas off the ground, I have a tough time understanding how a stripper header would work in peas. As 4930 indicates, they are super brittle at harvest time. And are often very low to the ground. we used to harvest flat peas with 30' rigid auger heads with lifters every 12" on the knife. Now we are using drapers and messing around with a flex header.
Does anyone use a stripper header on field peas?
