1070 - 6/19/2016 17:47 same here, we got the disk out and got those pesky mairstail.
Gee, marestail are very easy to control with herbicides with just a little planning.

Is that a fact?  Okay, Mr. Smartestguyontheforum, what is your plan when harvest starts in the mud, finishes in the snow, and there's no chance to make a fall sprayer pass?  What's your plan when you are rained out for 4 weeks during planting and can't get those applications done in a timely fashion either?  Oh, that's right you haven't lived those scenarios.

Make an early spring application.
would that work the best with snow on the ground, or if it's muddy?

Well if there is snow on the ground then weeds probably aren't going to emerge, and if they do they will likely get froze off. Spray it as soon as you can get in the field in the spring. March - April would be perfect. Many of the guys who worked the ground around here still needed 2-4d or some other form of killer to get the weeds that regrew or didn't get worked out.
