Ohh boy not another no till is the anti Christ thread. Tillage or lack of is not a one size fits all decision. Uncle has a field that we no tilled except where some old driveways that he ripped up. You can see as plain as black and white where he went with the soil saver and cultivator. The worked portion is covered in lambs quarters and pig weed thick the no till part has scattered weeds. Another example we got this sandier farm that we no tilled and looks great accross the fence the tenant is big into recreational tillage looks so so his corn was planted before ours and already sidedressed ours is taller and greener. Now if tried no till by my polebarn this spring it would have been like planting into asphalt.
