| My Dad used to harvest reed canary grass 40 years ago with an allis chalmers A-2 combine. He'd get it before it shattered but was still wet and would dry it in a dryer wagon we had. It was a 8x16' by 30" deep with a perforated floor in it and a big pto driven fan in the front. Did a good job of drying. I remember him getting stuck more than once combining as he was usually running in standing water. More than once the bottom of the clean grain leg was under water and there would be water coming in the grain tank! Had to get that last pass of good seed! | |
