SE Kansas
Let me give a little background on the way we apply herbicides out here. With low OM soils, were only allowed by label to use a reduced rate from the 3% soils. For us, zidua is max at 2.5 oz. Acuron is 2.5 qts.

So we apply a half rate at planting then come back early post with the 2nd half to get the full rate. If we were to apply the full rate at once, rain/irrigation+low organic matter breaks down our pre layer and were left dealing with escapes. Proven method, chemical companies even recommend to apply this method.

In this situation, 1.5 oz zidua was applied pre and none was applied in the post application.

Wouldn't the Dual in the Acuron be safened as it is Dual 2? Should cause an overload of group 15's in the plant.

Another scenario. Couple miles away, earlier planted corn. Same amount of rainfall. 1/2 of the circle was treated with acuron/zidua PRE. The other half was applied with Acuron alone. Seeing the biggywhipping on the half with Zidua and none on the other half. Leads me to believe it has an interaction to do with the Zidua..
