Iowa | I get manure on most fields, apply uan with my preplant then dribble additional n on areas that didn't get manure. Had 10 acres right along blacktop that I was all setup with my drops, made three passes and realized I had missed 2 blanks on my bar - so it still had a regular spray tips in it. So for the first 3 passes I broadcasted 30 gal of 28% over a row or two (may have been offset, and probably a lower rate as I run large orfices so whole bar is probably <15psi). After that I pulled a corn leaf and plugged the tips. So will I just toast the corn or kill it dead? 4 hrs after application we got 1/4 inch of rain. Go figure right by blacktop, and I test ran 100 gal water thru it in the yard and didn't see the tip I left in. Corn was 1ft tall in 20 inch rows.
