I have been amazed at the pod set on those group V-VIII soybeans in the south. What gets me is how it doesn't translate to the yields I would expect if we had pods like that in the north. Now if I were there at harvest to see the size of the beans and the pods aborted, maybe I'd understand.


Whats your estimate, on what you think they should yield? You'd be surprised at some of the yields here. Most posters from Arkansas, in this section, don't see astronomical yields.. but there are multiple farms in SE Arkansas that see 100+ bushels. Matt Miles hit 107 a few years ago, then backed it up with 103 the following season.
