Ok help me out I'm a little confused. The pics in Johns link is what I always called scouring rush( the tall stringy stuff that grows in the ditch). But the OP is the little pine tree looking things that grow in the fields. I've heard them referred to as horse weed. But now scouring rush and horse weed are the same thing?
