central - east central Minnesota - | cornerpost - 6/17/2016 22:51 It is taking over road ditches here. How about in your area? No, Our county (Wright) and townships in the county, are pretty vigilant about killing it (Spraying). There are cost shares, county will pay for all herbicides to treat. It works pretty well. Now the county is taking on the railroad industry to treat their lands. It's really bad, bad stuff - touch the plant and it'll blister your skin for years, when exposed to the sun. Nasty, nasty plant. I wish the rest of the state was serious about control and really wish Governor Dayton was as vigilant to Mandate control of wild parsnip as he is about taking lands for buffer strips. Now those buffers will be habitat for wild parsnip . . . . .shameful . . . . . . ., just shameful . . . . . . .
