Istumped guessed correctly. I had a bunch of old openers that I saved from my long gone early riser days and used them against the kinze openers. This thing cuts through cornstalks with no hairpinning.

same bearings, same size bolt holes, just bolt on. no modifications whatsoever.

It works so well I wonder why I am the only one who has tried it. Or Kinze for that matter.. also, I notice the V slot is much narrower and more defined now. a plus.
