| I tried cutting last night with a 4020 pulling a JD 925 (9ft 9in cut). Did 4 rounds and the tractor started spinning out trying to pull it uphill so I quit.
Just saying HP isn't everything. I finished cutting that field this afternoon and popped wheelies going uphill instead of spinning (like normal).
On flat fields that 95hp tractor will pull the discbine about as fast as you can go no matter what you're cutting, but you have to limit your speed to keep the cutter bar from bouncing off the ground too much. Hill fields are a different story, to say the least :) | |
