Corn doesn't look at the calendar as much as the thermometer. GDU is a better measure of maturity and that ain't perfect either. It takes about 120 GDU to get corn out of the ground. That's about 6 days here in late May. Here, the stuff planted late April is about 10 days ahead of a mid May planting come harvest.
Does corn that takes 3 or 4 Weeks to come up..
