I don't post here hardly ever so forgive me but, I thought they were approved here but not the chemical. I know local elevator has a bunch out grown for seed, but the same elevator has stated that they won't take them at harvest along with a few other elevators. That being said, the local that wants them for seed has stated that if they aren't "approved" by harvest, they will take them to a landfill and pay the producer. My question, how can they be planted if they weren't "totally" approved? BTW, the seed company doesn't start with a W does it?
The Monsanto Roundup Ready 2 Xtend seed trait, has not been approved by Europe.
Does not matter the chemical applied.
This is a major concern and is similar to the big Syngenta thing with the lawsuit over the unapproved
traits released.
Now talk about politics, BASF, a German company, and also is the largest chemical company in the world,
is ready to purchase MonSatan. do you suppose they can apply some
leverage to those in charge of those in Europe making decisions about new GMO's ?
I suppose we will see. |
