I think $4/acre will cover what it costs us to run the sprayer, that's the sprayer payment, repairs, water, support equipment and labor. We have a lower priced, higher hour self propelled, $2/acre will cover the sprayer payment and repairs if I figure new tires spread over 4 years.
How much do you save by spraying yourself?
