If the soil microbes were your little kids and you wanted your kids to eat a chicken breast what would you do?
Cut it up into little bites
Put the plate right in front of them
Pour a pile of ranch to let them dip and coat it so they'll eat some chicken along with the ranch.
Also gotta realize there's only so much 1 kid can eat.
If it's been 90+ outside and the kids were trying to play they may have been too hot and lose their appetite. Also when it's 30F outside its kinda cold to play and work up a big appetite.
So we want the corn residue down close to the soil vrs standing. We want it sized and we want something to balance the c:n ratio a little closer as its too high C for them to eat it like crazy.
