That's interesting - using annual rye grass as a nurse crop - and something I will consider.

I am experimenting with this triticale/pea mix as a nurse crop to try to get more tons and maybe nutrition than the standard oat nurse crop. I need tons and put some tonnage numbers above in a response to Garvo.  I would appreciate your comments on that also.

I am fortunate to have a retired neighbor with an Anderson wrapper who loves to do custom wrapping.
