This doesn't seem to be adding up. I had my 854 act very strange one time, sort of similar to what your experiencing. Go through your monitor and make sure your sections are set to the right width, a section got changed on mine one time and it took awhile to figure out why it was so far off even though the monitor read correctly. Also do a seed cal or verify the speed on your sprayer control is the same as a gps or another read out of some sort. Also is your nozzle spacing 20inches? That's what the nozzle sizing charts are based on. I always run with the valve for the boom wide open, I was told only close it for very small rates, I run 7.5 to 15 gal and never touch it. Also have you checked your screens to make sure something isn't plugged or restricted? Just some thoughts.
